Glass is Ramp’s AI workspace for teams. Its Tavily plugin brings web search, page extraction, crawling, mapping, and multi-source research into your conversations. Use it to prepare customer briefs, research competitors, or compare vendors with current sources.

Prerequisites

  • Access to Glass. Glass is currently in early access.
  • Permission to manage organization settings for the organization setup below.
  • A Tavily account for the personal connection. If the connection form requests an API key, get one from the Tavily dashboard.

Organization setup

A Glass admin enables Tavily for the organization before members connect it. These steps follow Glass’s plugin management guide.

3

Try a research task

Return to the app, start a new chat in your Private space, and try the example below. Check the tool activity for Tavily calls and open the cited sources to review the result.
For a shared project, check that the project has access to your connected account. Personal connection and project access are separate; see Glass’s project plugin settings.

Example: prepare for a customer meeting

A sales or customer success team can use Tavily to add current public information to its meeting preparation. Mention Tavily in the chat, then try this prompt:
I’m an account executive for Tavily preparing for a discovery call with Ramp. Research Ramp’s product launches, enterprise initiatives, and partnerships from the past 90 days.
Glass chat with Tavily mentioned in a Ramp research request and a discovery-call brief showing dated developments and source links

Glass uses Tavily research to prepare a Ramp discovery-call brief with source links.

In this run, Glass reported that searches succeeded and full-page extraction was rate-limited, so the brief relied on search-result excerpts. This example uses public web sources and can run with Tavily alone. Review the dates and citations, and keep inferred priorities separate from confirmed announcements.
