Google Gemini Enterprise includes a native Tavily connector for web search, content extraction, crawling, and research. This guide follows Google’s Tavily data store setup in the Google Cloud console. For Business edition, see Google’s Business connector instructions.
Google currently lists Tavily’s federated search and actions as Public Preview. See the connector overview for availability and limitations.

Prerequisites

  • A Google Cloud project with billing enabled and Gemini Enterprise configured, including user licenses and access. Follow Google’s administrator setup guide.
  • The Discovery Engine Editor role (roles/discoveryengine.editor) to create the data store.
  • A Tavily account.

See Google’s connection and authorization guide.

Example usage

In your connected Gemini Enterprise app, ask:
Use Tavily to prepare a brief on Stripe before a customer meeting. Find three announcements from the past 30 days, summarize each, and include its publication date and source URL.
You can follow up with a specific source:
Use Tavily to extract this announcement: [paste a source URL]. Summarize what changed and suggest three questions to ask in the meeting.
Search queries are sent to Tavily, and Gemini Enterprise can combine the results with other connected sources. See Google’s data handling details.
