# Vendor & Supply Chain Risk

Enter a supplier, supply chain focus, and search window. The window applies to business and disruption searches; official-source searches cover all time.

## Features

* **Operational disruptions:** Find reports of logistics problems, outages, and supply constraints.
* **Official risk sources:** Search sanctions and trade-restriction publications on selected government domains.
* **Linked findings:** Review source excerpts and publication dates where available, then open the original pages.
* **Markdown export:** Download the brief with its findings, source links, and suggested follow-up questions.

## How it works

The React interface sends the supplier details to a Node.js backend. The backend builds three queries from configured templates and runs them in parallel with [Tavily Search](https://docs.tavily.com/documentation/api-reference/endpoint/search.md).

The backend removes duplicate URLs within each section and filters official-source results to the configured domains. Each section appears as its search finishes, with summaries and excerpts returned by Tavily Search.
