## Workflows

| **Investment Research** | A meeting brief covering policy, economic data, market expectations, portfolio implications, and scenarios. |
| **Merchant Risk** | A merchant identity profile and research findings, with supporting evidence, ambiguity, coverage gaps, and next checks. |
| **Underwriting Research** | A commercial applicant profile covering the company, operations, finances, loss and safety record, and legal or regulatory history. |

## Explore a research brief

Investment Research runs five workstreams for a topic and meeting objective. Follow their progress, then explore the completed brief by section and open its supporting sources.

## How it works

A React interface connects the four modules to a shared FastAPI backend. **Compliance** uses AI agents with [Tavily Search](https://docs.tavily.com/documentation/api-reference/endpoint/search.md) and [Extract](https://docs.tavily.com/documentation/api-reference/endpoint/extract.md) to investigate entities and collect supporting passages.

**Investment Research**, **Merchant Risk**, and **Underwriting Research** run parallel [Tavily Research](https://docs.tavily.com/documentation/api-reference/endpoint/research-streaming.md) workstreams using the `mini` model and structured output schemas. Merchant Risk first resolves the merchant's identity with Search and Extract. Each workflow streams progress and returns findings with source links for human review.
